Donegal is among three counties under a status yellow weather warning for strong winds later this week.
Donegal, Galway and Mayo will experience very strong south-westerly winds on Wednesday.
The warning comes into effect at 6am and remains in place until 6pm.
Met Éireann is warning of difficult travelling conditions, debris or fallen trees, and large waves along the coast.
