Donegal County Council will meet with Councillors from the Glenties Municipal District today to discuss the fire service on Arranmore Island.
They are also expected to discuss the executive’s intentions regarding retained fire service personnel on the island.
The meeting was originally sought by Cllr Micheal Choilm Mac Giolla Easbuig a number of weeks ago.
He says the island communities must be given adequate resources that equal those on the mainland:
