An Taisce’s Green-Schools program is bringing back its energy theme for the new academic year in continued partnership with grid operator EirGrid.
The initiative was launched at Holy Family National School in Ballyshannon, setting the stage for nationwide events aimed at inspiring students to conserve energy.
Last year saw over 3,800 students across nearly 300 schools participate in workshops on renewable energy and reducing electricity consumption.
The campaign ties into EirGrid’s Powering Up the North West project, designed to strengthen Donegal’s grid, integrate renewables, and support local growth.
