The Omagh Bombing Inquiry has heard that a warning was issued to Finner Camp ahead of the 1998 attack.
During evidence yesterday, journalist John Ware, said a warning call had been received the previous day.
Mr. Ware said a document detailing the call had been provided to him by the inquiry’s counsel ahead of his evidence.
He recalled it stating that the caller “wasn’t drunk, sounded sensible” and said: “Get onto the guards, tell them to check the back routes or back roads,” before repeating three times: “Omagh, Omagh, Omagh.”
The inquiry heard that Gardaí received the warning on August 14th, 1998, however, there is no evidence to suggest it was passed on to the RUC that same day.
Following some discussion, it was decided the matter would be revisited once everyone had been brought up to speed.
