Gardaí from the Milford Roads Policing Unit seized a car in the Falcarragh area on Monday.
They found that a motorist was an unaccompanied learner driver who was not displaying ‘L’ plates. The cars NCT had also expires almost six months ago.
A fixed charged penalty notice will be issued.
A spokesperson for Gardaí urged drivers to never take risks when it comes to road safety.
