A lack of funding is holding back plans to refurbish Ardara’s playground.
That’s according to Senator Eileen Flynn, who raised the issue in Wednesday’s meeting of the Seanad.
Meeting with Donegal County Council in 2023 to discuss its refurbishment, she noted they were willing but couldn’t secure funding.
She says the playground is an important space for young people in the rural community, and needs to be an inclusive place for children of all abilities to play:
