Letterkenny University Hospital was once again the fourth most overcrowded hospital in the state this morning.
52 patients were waiting on trolleys, with 20 of those in the Emergency Department.
This is according to figures published by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.
Sligo University Hospital was the fifth most overcrowded hospital this morning with 48 patients awaiting beds.
This gives a north west total of 100 patients in hospital without a bed.
