Gardaí in Donegal are urging the public to put safety first as Halloween celebrations get underway.
The public is being reminded that fireworks are illegal and can carry hefty fines and potential prison sentences, as well as causing life-changing injuries.
Parents are also being advised to ensure Halloween costumes carry the appropriate CE marking, as those without it may be flammable.
