The Donegal County Fire Service has embarked on a recruitment campaign, with an open evening taking place later today at Letterkenny Fire Station.
The Fire Service says this will give prospective applicants an opportunity to learn more about the role, meet members of the local fire service, see the station and equipment, and find out what is involved in becoming a retained firefighter.
The service is particularly keen to hear from people who live and work in the Letterkenny area and can meet the availability requirements associated with responding to emergency calls.
The Letterkenny session this evening is one of a number taking place across Donegal.
