Meghan Markle will be saying goodbye to her long-running TV series Suitsafter season seven after becoming engaged to Prince Harry, with the show’s network wishing her “the very best” on her next chapter.
USA Network make her departure official with a statement released on Tuesday which read: “From all of us at USA Network and Universal Cable Productions, we want to send our most heartfelt congratulations to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on their engagement.
“Meghan has been a member of our family for seven years and it has been a joy to work with her. We want to thank her for her undeniable passion and dedication to Suits, and we wish her the very best.”

Suits creator Aaron Korsh also took to Twitter to send the US actress well wishes on her engagement to Prince Harry, who is fifth in line to the British throne.

Markle, who has played paralegal-turned-lawyer lawyer Rachel Zane for seven seasons of the popular legal drama, acknowledged that she was moving on from the series in her first joint interview with her new fiancé Prince Harry.
She said: “I don’t see it as giving anything up. I just see it as a change. It’s a new chapter, right? And also, keep in mind, I’ve been working on [Suits] for seven years.
“We were very, very fortunate to have that sort of longevity on a series…I’ve ticked this box, and I feel very proud of the work I’ve done there, and now it’s time to work with [Harry] as a team.”
Season seven of Suits returns in early 2018.
It was revealed on Tuesday this week that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will walk down the aisle next May at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
The actress dished on the details of Prince Harry’s proposal to her in an interview with BBC News, saying it was an “amazing surprise” and “very romantic”.
Kensington Palace revealed that the couple will undertake their first official engagements together in Nottingham on Friday.
The will meet representatives of organisations supporting people living with HIV/AIDS and speak to staff and mentors at the Nottingham Academy about a programme which is helping prevent young people from turning to violence and crime.
