Despite slight decreases in the rate of Covid-19 in Donegal, the county continues to have some of the highest infection rates in Ireland.
The North Inishowen area has retained the highest 14-day incidence rate in the country, at 1,880 cases per 100,000 people, that’s down slightly from last week with 319 cases confirmed in the area.
South Inishowen has the second highest rate at 1,211, down also on previous figures.
There’s been an increase in the rate of infection in the Milford local electoral area to 987, the fifth highest rate in the country.
Rates have dropped in Lifford/ Stranorlar, Glenties and Donegal Local Electoral Areas but all remain above the national 14-day incidence rate.
