Opposition parties and Age Action Ireland have criticised the HSE service plan for the coming year.
Fianna Fail Deputy Charlie McConalogue says it is inevitable that community and acute hospital beds in Donegal will close this year further diminishing frontline services in the county.
While no county breakdown was given the HSE’s service plan yesterday confirmed that a minimum of 555 public beds are to close in community nursing units nationally. 15 acute beds in the north west will also be closed.
