A meeting of sporting and business groups in the Ballybofey / Stranorlar area is to take place with a view to making it the sporting capital of Donegal.
Councillor Cora Harvey also wants Failte Ireland to help promote develop and market the area as a sporting destination.
She got the unanimous backing of County Councillors when she raised the issue in Lifford this week.
