Police in Derry investigating theft of 30 pieces of equipment from Maydown area

Police in Derry/Londonderry are investigating the theft of equipment that was reported stolen from the Maydown area this week.

Thirty pieces of the equipment, each of which are roughly one metre tall, are believed to have been taken sometime between 6pm on Monday, 5th September and 10am on Wednesday, 7th September.

Inspector Fell said: “Due to the size and quantity of equipment taken, either a vehicle with a trailer, or a van or lorry would have been needed to remove them. If you were in the area and saw any suspicious activity which may help our investigation, we want to hear from you.

“We also want to hear from anyone who has been offered this type of equipment for sale in suspicious circumstances, or who has information about where it’s being stored, to contact us.”

The number to call with information is 101, quoting reference number 560 of 07/09/22.
