Bank of Ireland is to open 61 branches around the country on four Saturdays next month to help customers switching from Ulster Bank and KBC.
The selected branches were picked for their proximity to an Ulster Bank, which expects to cease transactions by March 2023.
Opening the branches from October 1 to October 22 involves a 1 million euro investment from Bank of Ireland.
Customers will be able to open new accounts on the day, provided they have photo ID and at least one proof of address.
