A popular bar in Derry has revealed they will be closing their doors this coming Friday.
A spokesperson from the Grand Central Bar said ‘when the numbers aren’t stacking up we have to admit defeat’.
While the establishment says it has been coming up against rising costs for the past few years, it has become financially unviable to run the bar.
The bar was first established over 100 years ago and has been in the hands of the current owner for the past eleven.
Locals have taken to social media to pay tribute to the business.
