This week’s events in Dublin have been described as “a perfect storm” of far-right hate groups organising online and rogue gangs of local youths.
Gardaí have arrested 48 people in the city since Thursday on theft and public order related charges.
Oxford University lecturer, Dr Jennifer Cassidy – who’s in Dublin – claims a WhatsApp group of far right extremists helped stir the violence that led to Thursday’s riots.
