A County Councillor, who has been critical of RTE’s coverage of County Donegal, says he is not surprised the state broadcaster opted to screen Dublin versus Laois in the All-Ireland over Donegal versus Kerry.
The TV rights are shared by RTE and TV3 – RTE had the first choice of games for the All Ireland Championship Quarter Finals and opted to screen Dublin in action,TV3 had second choice and chose Donegal / Kerry.
Councillor Martin Farren raised RTE’s lack of coverage of the Clipper Challenge and the North Atlantic Fiddle convention at this weeks county council meeting.
He says this latest decision should not then come as a surprise:
