Today’s debate on the relocation on gynae services at Letterkenny General Hospital has thrown out some very differing perspectives..
Supporting the motion, SF Cllr Marie Terese Gallagher claimed that many councillors don’t understand the impact of the decision, anmd warned that justifying cuts on the basis of the need to save money is a slippery slope…………
Among those who didn’t support the motion was Fine Gael Cllr Noel Mc Bride, who says while the ward may have relocated, the service remains, and provate facilities are available for any woman who needs them.
He also took exception to the wording of the motion…………
