Calls to increase alcohol excise duty by 15%

Increasing alcohol excise duty by 15 per cent could help reduce road deaths.

That’s the call from Alcohol Action Ireland who says rising the cost of alcohol in Budget 2025 will reduce road fatalities following 115 deaths so far this year.
