St Eunan’s Cathedral in Letterkenny has played down an incident at mass yesterday.
There are reports that a man had to be escorted from the Cathedral during 8am mass as he approached the altar while Communion was being prepared.
However, in a statement issued on social media, St Eunan’s Cathedral claims reports are exaggerated.
They say a person who did behave unusually was asked if they needed assistance after which they left of their own accord and without incident.
