An uninsured car driven by an unaccompanied learner has been seized in Donegal.
Milford Roads Policing Unit stopped the vehicle in the Carrigart area after an ANPR alert flagged it as uninsured.
It was then discovered that the learner driver was behind the wheel without a qualified accompanying driver.
Gardaí say penalty points and fines will apply, with a court appearance to follow.
They are reminding learner drivers they must be accompanied at all times under the Clancy Amendment.
