
A Donegal TD has told the Dail it’s inconceivable that changes could be made to the triple lock which guarantees Irish neutrality.
Deputy Padraig told a debate on the issue this morning that the Irish people cherish their neutrality, and solemn promises were made at the time of the Nice and Lisbon treaty re-runs that it would be protected.
He says if the government believes scrapping the triple lock is the right way to go, it should be put to the people in a referendum…………….
