Employers are taking longer to choose who they hire, according to new research from Matrix Recruitment.
The number of jobs filled after a single interview has fallen from 31% to 21% over the past year.
The report says companies are focusing more on finding the right long-term fit.
It also found hybrid jobs attract far more applicants than office-based roles.
