Donegal County Council’s Roads is being asked to review road markings on the R250 road from Letterkenny to Fintown with a view to having overtaking areas reinstated for the safety of all road users.
The call has come from Cllr Donal Mandy Kelly, who says since unbroken white lines have been introduced on some parts of the road, it has become more dangerous.
Officials say the road markings have been laid in accordance with the National Standard for Road Markings in Ireland, and council is required to follow those protocols.
Cllr Kelly believes in this instance, change is warranted………….
