The peaceful death has taken place on Wednesday, 29th July 2026, of Mary Sweeney, (née Boyce), aged 97 years, formerly of Carrigart, at her home “Sheephaven”, College Farm Road, Letterkenny, surrounded by her loving family.
Beloved wife of the late Maurice.
Mary, was a devoted mother to Mary (Kells), Maeve (Letterkenny), John (Ardara), and Pól (Kinsale). She will be deeply missed by her brothers Patrick and Columba (Carrigart), sister-in-law Anne, sons-in-law Paddy and Christy, daughters-in-law Mireille and Deborah, nieces, nephews, cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, carers, neighbours, and her many friends.
Reposing at the family home, College Farm Road (F92 RF6T), from 12 noon to 9.00pm on Thursday 30th and Friday 31st July, where you are most welcome to pay your respects, concluding with Rosary each night at 9.00pm.

Requiem Mass at 11.00am on Saturday, 1st August, in St. Eunan’s Cathedral, which can be viewed online at https://www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny followed by burial in Conwal Cemetery.
