The Reverend Fr. Dermot McShane, Retired Parish Priest of Bruckless, County Donegal, formerly of Cappagh, Teelin. Peacefully after a long illness, in the excellent care of the staff of the Community Hospital, Killybegs and the staff of Letterkenny University Hospital.
Predeceased by his parents Dorby and Ellen, his brothers Pádraig, Tomás and Conall. He will be sadly missed by his cousins, Bishop Niall Coll, Bishop Philip Boyce, his fellow priests, his former housekeeper Bríd McCallig, his parishioners and a large circle of friends.

Fr Dermot’s remains will be received at the Church of St Joseph & St Conal, Bruckless, F94CH02 at 5pm on Tuesday 15th September where he will repose until Rosary at 8pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at the Church of St Joseph and St Conal, Bruckless at 12 noon on Wednesday 16th September with removal afterwards for interment in the grounds of St. Columba’s Church, Carrick (F94 FX56).
