A 45-year-old man has been arrested after the body of an Irish woman was found in a home in Melbourne, Australia.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene in Ferntree Gully at 10am yesterday, local time.
The man remains in police custody, with Victoria Police saying it’s believed the pair were known to each other.
A crime scene has been established and Homicide Squad detectives are investigating.
The Department of Foreign Affairs says it’s aware of the case and is providing consular assistance.
