A bail application has been withdrawn in the case of a man charged with murdering his partner earlier this year.
30 year old Conor McNamee is accused of murdering 28 year old mother of two Amy Doherty at their home at Summer Meadows Mews in the Waterside area of Derry on March 21st of this year.
Conor McNamee of Summer Meadow Mews in Derry has been in custody since he was arrested after falling from the Foyle Bridge shortly before the fatally injured Amy was found in their home.
He is further charged with possessing an offensive weapon, namely a kitchen knife, and with possessing class A drugs, also on March 21.
Applying for the bail application to be withdrawn at Derry Magistrates Court, defence solicitor Paddy MacDermott told Deputy District Judge Liam McStay there is no current suitable bail address, but they will come back with regards to that in due course.
A solicitor for the Public Prosecution Service told the Deputy District Judge there are still waiting for the post mortem report, the forensic report, and a number of other reports. The file is progressing, the solicitor added, but given the nature of the case it will take some time.
Mr. McStay granted the application to withdraw the bail application and adjourned the case until September 17th.
