Donegal sees 61% rise in new electric vehicle registrations

The uptake of electric vehicles in Donegal is continuing to grow, with new EV registrations up by 61% so far this year.

Figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show that overall new car registrations in the county are also up by 4% compared with the same period last year.

That is just one percentage point below the national increase.

SIMI Director General Brian Cooke says EV registrations across Ireland are continuing to move in the right direction:
