
Concerns have been raised over the potential spread of bovine tuberculosis from deer to cattle in Donegal.
The issue was discussed at yesterday’s agricultural meeting, where Deer Management Ireland also outlined changes to the process for landowners applying for a Section 42 licence, allowing deer to be shot outside the normal season or at night in certain circumstances.
There were also concerns about deer killed on farmland and whether they are being tested for TB.
