A man has been arrested following the discovery of fireworks in Derry.
Police officers from the Foyleside and Moor Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out a planned search yesterday.
The fireworks were seized and a young man was subsequently arrested.
He has since been released on bail as enquiries continue.
Police say fireworks can cause serious injury, start fires and cause significant distress, particularly to older people, those with sensory sensitivities, young children and animals.
