Uisce Éireann will carry out essential reservoir cleaning works across Inishowen this week.
They say this is to help ensure customers continue to enjoy a clean, safe and reliable water supply
Uisce Éireann says regular reservoir maintenance is an important part of protecting drinking water quality and maintaining the infrastructure that delivers water to homes, businesses, and communities every day.
Essential cleaning works will be carried out at Aghaweel Reservoir in Drumfries today, and Crockavenny Reservoir in Carrowmore/Illies tomorrow.
Works will continue at Cashelcraw Reservoir, Carndonagh, on Thursday.
These are scheduled to take place between 8am and 6pm each day.
While every effort is being made to minimise disruption, some customers may experience reduced water pressure, temporary discolouration or intermittent supply during and shortly after the works.
Water supplies are expected to return to normal as the cleaning programme is completed.
Damien O’Sullivan, Uisce Éireann’s Water Network Operations Manager for Donegal, says these essential cleaning works help maintain the reservoirs that serve local communities and support the quality of the water coming into customers’ homes and businesses.
He thanked customers for their patience and understanding while the work is carried out.
