Donegal’s Mitchell McLaughlin and his new partner Ciaran O’Toole from Dublin set a national record this week at the UCI Para Track World Championships in the Netherlands.
The pair set the new mark for the MB Individual Pursuit in Thursday’s race in which they finished 7th.
It was a first major competition for McLaughlin and O’Toole who are targeting the LA Paralympic Games in 2028.
McLaughlin is an experienced pilot having rode with Damien Vereker at the Paralympic Games in 2024 and in numerous World and European Championship events.
