Job Description
The Trustees of Rossnakill Community Hub CLG (the Board of Directors) wishes to appoint a suitably experienced person to the above post which has been funded by Pobal under the Community Services Programme. The community hub provides programmes and services to address community needs and social inclusion, ensuring the rural population come together collectively through sport, education, recreation and enterprise.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Proven leadership ability, with strong capacity to work effectively with the local community, staff, volunteers and management board.
- Excellent organisational skills and agility, with an ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with strong networking capacity.
- Proven ability to provide efficient reporting to management board, and for statutory or regulatory purposes.
- Experience and knowledge of identifying and seeking funding, budgeting, financial management and project planning.
- Proven ability to engage target audience through print/social media as a tool for marketing and engagement
- Proven experience of using a range of software programmes
- Previous experience in community development or the voluntary sector and a genuine passion for community development and social inclusion
- A good working knowledge of good governance, procedures and policies that apply to the community, charity and voluntary sector.
- A qualification in Community Development or a related field OR third level qualification in related discipline is desirable.
- Previous experience in a leadership and people management role within a community centre or similar organisation is highly advantageous.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
The conditions of employment which apply to this post will be in accordance with the guidelines in operation of the Community Service Programme (CSP). This is a full-time position requiring attendance of 37.5 hours per week with a salary of €35,400 per year. The rest of the conditions of employment will be set out in the employment contract issued by Rossnakill Community Hub. Please note that this position is subject to funding and that those guidelines may be subject to change.
