Quantity Surveyor

Full time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive salary matched to experience
Location: This role is based at our Head Office near Castlederg but travel requirements to sites within Ulster will be required.

THE ROLE:
Negotiating and appointing sub-contractors to project schemes.
Managing sub-contractor package’s through from appointment to final account.
Preparation of final accounts for submission to client representative.
The submission of valuations and variations on schemes.
Assist with the preparation of tenders.
Identify cost risks and opportunities on projects.
Building close working relationship with Contracts Manager’s, Site teams and client personnel to deliver quality projects.
Site Visits: on site to view works completed, quality and management of costs.

THE PERSON:
Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or construction related discipline
Minimum 2 years experience in similar role
Experience in construction contracts such as JCT/NEC
Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate
The ability to manage a number of contracts concurrently with the ability to prioritise tasks.
Full valid driving licence
Experience of large-scale residential developments advantageous but not essential.
