John Gallagher, Ardlaghan, Cloghan

The death has occurred in Letterkenny University Hospital of John Gallagher, (Accountant), Ardlaghan, Cloghan, Co. Donegal, F93 X20.

John will repose at his home from 6 pm today Monday, 24th August until 9 p.m and again on Tuesday 25th August, from 1 pm until 9 pm.

Requiem Mass at 1 pm on Wednesday, 26th August in The Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Glenfin, with burial afterwards in Cill Mhuire Cemetery.

Rosary nightly at 9 pm, with family time after the Rosary and on the morning of the funeral.

Donation in lieu, if desired, to Ionad Pobail Ghleann Fhinne, a much-beloved Community Centre in Glenfin that John helped fund, c/o any family member.

John is predeceased by his parents Annie and Edward Gallagher, his brother Padraig Gallagher (Big Pat), brothers-in-law Liam Kelly and Phil Duffy (Annagry) and his sister-in-law, Breid Duffy (Annagry).

Sadly missed by his devoted wife Mary (nee Duffy), his heartbroken children, Damien, Laura (John Kenny), Anita, Colin (Therese), his sister Annie B. Kelly, his brother Fr. Eddie Gallagher, and all his cherished grandchildren.

He will also be dearly missed by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and all his nieces and nephews, the wider family circle, neighbours and friends.

John was born and raised in Ghleann Fhinne, which he had such a great love for, evident in all the Community Projects he helped to get financed locally.

He led a very full and remarkable life that will truly leave its mark on others.

John was a very loving dedicated husband and father whose children are honoured by his memory. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
