The death has occurred of , Co. Donegal, peacefully at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, on 1st September 2026 after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family.
Heartbroken by her passing are her beloved husband Conor Hession, her parents Marian and Michael Hennigan, her brother Mark and her grandmother Mary Bonner. Predeceased by her grandparents Frank and Bridie Hennigan and Patrick Bonner, her aunt Annemarie Gallagher and her uncle Shaun Hennigan.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her aunts and uncles Margaret Kelly (Conor), Pat Bonner (Helen), Anthony Bonner (Aingeal), Michael Bonner (Christine) and Kevin Bonner (Adele), her extended family and friends, her colleagues and pupils at Holy Family National School, Rathcoole, Dublin, her colleagues at Rasheeny National School, Rasheeny, Co. Donegal, and the broader teaching community.

Shauna’s remains will repose at her home in Ballyloskey, Carndonagh (F93 E781) on Thursday (3rd September) from 3pm to 10pm and on Friday (4th September) from 12 noon to 10pm where you are all welcome to pay your respects. Family time outside of these hours and on the morning of the funeral.
Funeral from her home on Saturday (5th September) at 10.30am for 11am Requiem Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Carndonagh, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
