There’s further calls for provision and access to macular degeneration treatment to be provided in Donegal. Patients from the county are being forced to travel to Sligo for treatment due to limited ophthalmic services at Letterkenny University Hospital. A recruitment campaign is underway for a Consultant Medical Ophthalmologist to deliver an injection service in Donegal.
