Both the Bundoran and Sligo RNLI lifeboats were launched yesterday evening.
The alarm was raised when a kayak was spotted overturned in the Mullaghmore area.
As it transpired, the person in the kayak had got into difficulty, abandoned the kayak and made it safely ashore alone.
