The 70 year old Tyrone man who died after being swept away by flood water in County Monaghan on Sunday night was a well known performer on the showband scene in the 60’s and 70’s.
The body of Ivan Vaughan from Caledon Tyrone was discovered meters away from his vehicle, he had been en route home from a concert in Gaslough when his car was swept off the road.
The former showband singer previously performed with the Plattermen under the stage name Simon Scott.
