Michael Murphy is one of three new faces elected to the National Executive Committee of the Gaelic Players Association.
The body’s AGM was held in Dunboyne in Co. Meath on Saturday and Murphy, along with Clare hurler Podge Collins and Longford footballer Mickey Quinn have all been added to the Association’s National Executive.
The committee is elected annually by the members of their association and manages the affairs of the players body.
