Donegal North-East TD, Dr Jim McDaid has been defending his decision not to give up his ministerial pension on todays Shaun Doherty Show.
The controversial Donegal Deputy confirmed that he doesn’t gain from his pension, and he in fact has been giving it to charity for the past 4 or 5 years.
Although he didn’t name what charity recieves his donations.
He also said he was making a stand against the medias campaign of “verbally pistol shooting” politicians to give up their ministerial pensions.
