Bike scheme proposed for Letterkenny

Letterkenny Town Council is to investigate the feasibility of introducing a Cycle scheme in the Town.
The idea would be a scaled down version of schemes seen in major cities which make available bicycles in a number of various locations which would be available for locals and tourists alike.
The suggestion was made by Councillor Jimmy Harte who believes, if introduced, the scheme would attract tourists to the area.
He says however that bicycle lanes and other infrastructure would have to be provided:
