A-CEART says graduated driving licensed system could go further

The Road Safety Authority is set to unveil radical new plans to overhaul the learner driver system.
L-Drivers will have to do “homework” and drive in the dark – while supervised by their parents as part of the new Graduated Driver Licencing System.
Their mum or dad will then have to sign a form, swearing the homework has been completed.
If parents are unavailable, an already qualified driver can be designated as a “supervisor”.
Mary Clinton, A-CEART Road Safety Campaigner, has welcomed the measures, but says some of them could of went further:
