A large number of areas throughout the county are being evaluated with the objective of designating them ‘Special Areas’ under the EU Birds and Habitats Directive.
And Northwest MEP Marian Harkin, is urging people to be vigilant about extensions to designated areas under the EU Birds and Habitats Directives.
She says restrictions on individual landowners may be troublsome.
