Gormley pulls out of Buncrana conference

Environment Minister John Gormley has pulled out of a visit to Donegal.
Mr Gormley was to have addressed the Annual Conference of the Association of Municipal Authorities of Ireland which is taking place in Buncrana, but has not done so.
Labour’s Local Government Spokesperson claims that Mr Gormley had accepted an invitation from the AMAI, and up to last night, it was expected that he would attend today’s event.
Deputy Ciaran Lynch says since becoming Minister in 2007, Mr Gormley has NEVER addressed an AMAI conference, an unprecedented situation for any Environment Minister……….
