Domestic violence service seeks to improve interagency cooperation

The Donegal Women’s Domestic Service is hosting a major conference in Letterkenny today to discuss how to deal with how violence impacts on the family.
The conference is being addressed by representitives of the HSE, the Gardai and COSC, with an emphasis on how all the agencies involved need to work together.
The conference comes just days after new figures showed a 100% increase in the numbers of women seeking help, while the service budget has been cut by 10%.
Dr. Maria Hainsworth is Chairperson of the Donegal Service ; she says it’s important to identify how services can best work together in the current climate……….
