Donegal house prices continue to fall

Two reports from property websites daft.ie and myhome.ie show that house prices in County Donegal continued to fall last year.
Nationally the latest fall brings the total decline from the peak of the market in late 2006 to 34.6%.
According to myhome.ie in County Donegal the average price of a four bed semi detached house was €185,588 in the last quarter of 2010, down 9.04% from the previous quarter, and down 10.4% in the last 12 months.
Meanwhile, the asking price for a three bed semi in the county was €165,000 down 3.8% from the last quarter, and down 7.6% from the previous 12 months.
According to a report from daft.ie the average asking price in Donegal in the final quarter of 2010 was €172,000, a fall of €97,000 from the peak.
