Donegal North East TD Niall Blaney says it would be a mistake to prioritise other roads above the Letterkenny to Lifford Road linking to the proposed new N2 – A5 Dublin to Derry Road.
Speaking after a meeting with Transport Minister Noel Dempsey, Deputy Blaney says he accepts that there are other roads on the NRA’s priority list, particularly the Twin Towns by-pass, but he argues developing that first would be wrong.
Deputy Blaney argues that the best chance for jobs and development lies in improving access to Letterkenny, and that will benefit the whole county, including Ballybofey and Stranorlar.
